Problem

Built.km exists to take a client's problem, requirements, workflow and design goals and turn them into shipped, user-facing software for artists, businesses and brands.

Approach

I work directly with each client to understand how their product should look, function and solve their business needs, then own the full lifecycle: discovery, solution design, full-stack development, UI/UX implementation, deployment, iteration and ongoing support.

Architecture

Each project gets its own stack chosen for the job. The documented examples on this site are:

Artist websites (KsBvndz, Lil 9, 23 Bin Laden)  →  TypeScript, pnpm workspaces, Replit

Technical decisions

• Keep the system of record where the client already works (for example Shopify for the Evolve Performance storefront) and build the custom experience around it.

Challenges

• Clients have to run what I hand over without me: the Evolve Performance owner manages products, orders and shipping in Shopify Admin, and the custom storefront reads from it.
• Artist sites have to carry the artist's real catalogue: on the KsBvndz and 23 Bin Laden sites, release titles, covers and preview clips come from their actual Apple Music listings, never placeholder content.
• Heavy media has to work on phones, where browsers block autoplay with sound: KsBvndz's hero is a muted, inline self-hosted video, and 23 Bin Laden's music starts only after a visitor taps to enter.

Results

Built.km has delivered 20+ websites and digital products for clients including Queen's University, Evolve Performance, KsBvndz, Lil 9, 23 Bin Laden and Piece of Cake Junk Removal. The three paid artist websites for KsBvndz, Lil 9 and 23 Bin Laden are live.
